This quick-start guide will walk you through creating your account, setting up your workspace, and running your first AI workflow. SunSummit is built to make training, orchestrating, and deploying AI models simple, predictable, and production-ready.

1. Create Your Account

To begin, sign up from the homepage:

Steps:

  • Click Sign Up.
  • Enter your name, email, and password.
  • Select a plan or start with the free trial.
  • Verify your email (if prompted).

Once complete, you’ll be redirected to your dashboard.

Optional: Set up the CLI
To interact with SunSummit via the terminal, you can install the CLI:‍

# Install the SunSummit CLI
npm install -g sunsummit

# Log in from your terminal
sunsummit login

‍2. Set Up Your Workspace

Your workspace is where you manage projects, datasets, workflows, and deployments. Inside your workspace, you can:

  • Create and organize projects
  • Upload and version datasets
  • Track experiment runs
  • Collaborate with teammates

Each project contains its own files, model versions, and analytics — keeping everything clean and structured.

3. Explore Core Tools

SunSummit includes a set of tools designed for the full ML lifecycle:

  • Model Manager — Version, track, and compare models
  • Data Tools — Clean, transform, validate datasets
  • Workflow Builder — Design pipelines using visual steps
  • Analytics & Observability — Monitor performance, latency, and drift

From the dashboard, you can open any tool with one click.

4. Build Your First Project

Let’s create your first AI project.

To create a new project:

  1. Open the Dashboard.
  2. Select Create New Project.
  3. Enter a project name.
  4. Upload your dataset or choose a sample dataset.
  5. Pick a model type or start from a template.

After setup, you can begin training models, adjusting parameters, and viewing results.

Example: Create a project via CLI
You can also create projects using the CLI:

# Create a new project
sunsummit project create my-first-workflow

# Upload a local dataset
sunsummit dataset upload ./data/images --project my-first-workflow

‍5. Connect Integrations

Integrations help you automate your workflow and connect external systems. Supported integrations include:

  • Cloud storage (S3, GCS, Azure)
  • Deployment platforms
  • Notebooks & dev tools
  • Git / version control
  • Event & pipeline triggers

Enable integrations from Project Settings → Integrations.

Example: Connect Cloud Storage
To connect an S3 bucket:‍

sunsummit integration add s3 \
  --bucket my-data-bucket \
  --project my-first-workflow

‍6. Deploy Your Model

When your model is ready, deploy it directly from the Model Manager.

Deployment options:

  • Real-time API endpoints
  • Batch processing jobs
  • Export as model artifact (.onnx, .pt, .hf)

Example: Deploy via CLI

# Deploy the latest model version as an API endpoint
sunsummit deploy api \
  --project my-first-workflow \
  --model v3.1

‍7. Keep Learning

SunSummit includes a full library of learning materials:

  • Tutorials
  • Example workflows
  • Best-practice guides
  • Release notes
